These best of the net nominations/anthologies are proliferating. This particular Sundress publication strikes me as primarily mainstream/safe, but that's my aesthetics, and I'm not dissing any particular nominee. Simply, these "bests" should be taken with many grains of salt and not made too much of, la di da. Stay tuned for a "best of" from Star*Vigate, and another from Dzanc Books. I'm sure there are others. Eventually, all of us will be in one of them! :-)

Well, unless you're going for exclusion ... what's wrong with a few poets getting nominated for a few prizes? Are the prizes any less won? Worthwhile?

Proliferation of poetry and applauding it from the corners should be the new pastime! Why should baseball and football get all of the glory and attention?
